About Us
Eco Girls SA is a registered, environmental, Non-Profit Company (NPC) founded by two dynamic black professional women, Nthabiseng Moche and Cynthia Chishimba. Both founders bring valuable knowledge and extensive experience in various fields. These fields include environmental education, community-driven women’s water projects, leadership development, career guidance, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and youth-focused projects. Eco Girls SA strives to empower young women and girls in South Africa by addressing key environmental and social challenges through integrated and sustainable programs.
Eco Girls SA was born in 2014 and officially registered in 2017. The Eco Girls SA was established to respond to the gap identified in environmental career guidance, environmental education and awareness, knowledge about the negative impact of menstrual products on the environment, the impact of climate change in food security and waste management, particularly in the rural areas of North West province.
